Pilates is for everybody and every body can do it!

Pilates is a great way to strengthen your body's core muscles and enhance your overall mobility at the same time. It is a low impact, controlled form of exercise that rebalances your body and, with regular practise, will improve your posture and general wellbeing. Exercise adaptations mean the classes are accessible to everyone regardless of fitness background, age or body type.

"Pilates is the complete coordination of body, mind and spirit”  (Joseph Pilates)

Why should you choose Pilates?

Improved posture and wellbeing
Practicing Pilates regularly will improve your posture and promote good alignment in your body, reducing your risk of injury and strengthening your supporting muscles.

Improved mobility and flexibility
The dynamic movements of Pilates gently stretch and lengthen your muscles whilst increasing the range of motion in your joints.  This in turn, leads to increased flexibilty, enabling you to move more freely and without pain.

Enhanced stability and strength
Pilates focuses on the 'core' or 'centre' of the body, ensuring that strength is developed in the deep muscles of the abdomen, lower back and pelvic floor, providing the rest of the body with the stability it needs to function effectively in every day life.  No muscles groups are left out and everything flows from the centre.

Increased mind to body connection
Two of the main principles of Pilates are breath and concentration and these principles help you to develop mental focus and time for you as you go through the class.
